Intensive therapy programs represent some of the most innovative healthcare currently available. Each program is limited to just four participants and features a select team of clinicians comprised of Upledger Clinic staff and skilled visiting therapists. Using CST as the primary therapy, therapists work with patients in one-on-one and multiple-therapist sessions to address the specific health concerns of each individual.
Once the source of a patient's problem is isolated, the therapists often combine CST with other therapies to facilitate the most effective results. Participants also take part in daily group discussions. Plus, attending family members and/or caregivers receive support and training in applications they can continue at home. Program lengths vary between one and two weeks.
Group Intensive Programs
The Upledger Institute Intensive Therapy Program is a multi-disciplinary therapeutic approach, using primarily CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release. Other therapies such as acupuncture and psychotherapy are also part of sessions during the 3, 4, 5 and 10-day intensive therapy programs.
Intensive Programs are held at our outpatient facility weekly throughout the year in beautiful Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Program hours are 10am to 5pm daily. Each five-day Intensive Therapy Program includes six hours of therapy daily, of which 4-5 hours per day are hands-on CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release, plus psychotherapy and two acupuncture sessions per week.
Intensive Programs are held in a group setting consisting of up to four clients, plus client family members and therapists. Typically each program begins on Monday at 10:00 a.m. and ends on Friday at 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch daily. The five-day program costs $4250.00, which does not include meals, travel, lodging and incidentals.
On occasion, four-day and three-day Intensive Programs are scheduled throughout the year. The cost of these Mini-Intensive Programs is $850 per day.
Caregivers for each client in the intensive program are eligible to schedule up to five one-on-one therapist hours of CranioSacral Therapy or psychotherapy sessions, depending on availability, at a 20% discount from standard Upledger Clinic individual session rates.

Custom Intensive Programs
Custom Intensive Programs are held in a private treatment room at the Upledger Clinic. One of several highly experienced therapists who have been hand picked by Dr. John Upledger and have worked side by side with him for decades, will return your first call within one day to begin planning your exclusive healing program.
You can create your specific schedule to extend over three to five days or more. Each day consists of three to four hours on the table and will be led by your primary therapist who will bring in highly experienced therapists to do multiple therapist work each day. The rate is $125 per hour per therapist.
Whether you want a relaxing "therapeutic vacation" in beautiful South Florida, or an intense packed theraputic experience, your lead therapist will be by your side to handle all your needs from the first to the last day.

To reserve your place in an upcoming Intensive Program, a $2000 deposit is required. This deposit is fully refundable or transferable to another available date if we are notified of a change in your plans at least 5 business days prior to your scheduled program start date. If you must cancel your reservation less than 5 business days prior to your scheduled program start date, we will retain 50% of your deposit for administrative fees.
Please request a prescription from your physician for CranioSacral/Manual Therapy, including your diagnosis code, and provide a copy with your completed confidential case history when submitting your pre-program paperwork to the Upledger Clinic. Without a diagnosis code from your physician your intensive program billing paperwork will reflect a wellness visit.
Please refer to your healthcare insurance company directly for information on coverage. Upon request, we can provide you with an insurance predetermination form that you can submit to your insurance carrier. You must also provide your insurer a prescription provided by your physician for CranioSacral / Manual Therapy, including your diagnosis. After each therapy session or therapy program the Upledger Clinic will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance carrier. Your healthcare insurance provider will make the final determination on your eligibility for reimbursement.
*** IMPORTANT *** If you, or your physician, have a known or suspected concern regarding changes in your intra-cranial pressure (such as, recent or acute stroke, cerebral hemorrhage, aneurysm, skull fracture, epidural leaks, Arnold Chiari Malformation etc.), please contact the Upledger Clinic and ask for a therapist to discuss your condition with you before scheduling any CST sessions or an intensive program.
