Therapies Available at The Upledger Institute Clinic

The Upledger Institute Clinic offers a range of treatment options built primarily around CranioSacral Therapy (CST) and related techniques. CranioSacral Therapy is a soft-touch therapy that addresses restrictions in the brain, spinal cord, and spinal fluid to enhance overall health and well-being. CranioSacral Therapy is often accompanied by SomatoEmotional Release (SER). SomatoEmotional Release is a therapeutic process that expands on the principles of CranioSacral Therapy to help rid the mind and body of the residual effects of trauma.

Related techniques that are often used in conjunction with CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release include Sensory Integration (SI), Acupuncture, Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT), Muscle Energy Technique, Visceral Manipulation (VM) and more.

CranioSacral Therapy and related techniques are provided in a variety of clinical formats, ranging from individual sessions with a single therapist to multi-therapist programs. Sessions can vary from one-hour individual appointments to intensive programs lasting one to two weeks. In addition, our unique series of Dolphin Assisted Therapy Intensive Programs is offered each summer in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch approach that can create dramatic improvements in your life and wellness. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance.

By gently working with the soft tissues of the body, it releases restrictions around your brain and spinal cord, allowing your body to self-correct and free itself of pain and dysfunction. Because it strengthens the body on multiple levels, CranioSacral Therapy is known for its ability to relieve a wide range of medical conditions.
